Data Formats
The NEK Engineering Department supports the latest in computer and CAD technology. AutoCAD 2012, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Electronic Workbench 5.0, MS Office 2003, and other computer software applications are used at New England Keyboard. Computer Data formats preferred and/or acceptable by our engineering department are as follows:

| AutoCAD 2012 | AutoCAD 2D drawing file formats (.dwg, .dxf, .dwf, .dxb) are preferred for CAD drawing transfers. |
| AutoDesk Inventor 2012 | 3D formats (.iam, .idw, .ipt) |
| Other 3D formats must be converted to .igs, .stp, .3ds, .stp is preferred; however, for dimensional data must be converted to an AutoCAD drawing format prior to use by Engineering | |
| Gerber and other PCB photo-plotter files may be acceptable; however, some conversions may not be guaranteed to be accurate. Please, check with NEK Electronics group prior to submitting these file formats. | |
Graphic Artwork | |
| Adobe Illustrator CS3 | Adobe Illustrator file formats (.ai) are preferred for graphic file transfers. All fonts should be converted to "Outline" prior to submitting to NEK, or the font files must accompany the Illustrator files. |
